How to Perform Wudu

Purification is essential before prayer. Follow these steps for wudu:

1. Intention (Niyyah): Start with the intention to purify oneself for prayer.

Intention before ablution (Wudu) – Нийет преди абдест (вуду)

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ ۞ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ۞
نَوَيْتُ أَنْ أَتَوَضَّأَ لِأَجْلِ الصَّلَاةِ تَقَرُّبًا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَى دِينِ الْإِسْلَامِ وَعَلَى تَوْفِيقِ الْإِيمَانِ۞

a‘ūdhu billāhi mina-sh-shayṭāni-r-rajīm. bismi-llāhi-r-raḥmāni-r-raḥīm. nawaytu an atawaḍḍa’a li-ajliṣ-ṣalāh taqarruban ilā-llāhi ta‘ālā bismi-llāhi-l-‘aẓīm wa-l-ḥamdu li-llāhi ‘alā dīni-l-islām wa-‘alā tawfīqi-l-īmān
2. Say Bismillah: Begin by saying "Bismillah" (In the name of Allah).
3. Wash Hands: Wash both hands up to the wrists three times, starting with the right hand, ensuring water reaches between the fingers.
4. Rinse Mouth: Take water with the right hand and rinse the mouth three times.
5. Rinse Nose: Sniff water into the nostrils using the right hand and then expel it.
6. Wash Face: Wash the entire face from the hairline to the chin and from ear to ear three times.
7. Wash Arms: Wash both arms up to the elbows three times, starting with the right arm.
8. Wipe Head: Wet both hands and wipe over the head from the forehead to the back of the head, then back to the forehead.
9. Wipe Ears: Wipe the inner and outer surfaces of the ears.
10. Wash Feet: Wash both feet up to the ankles three times, starting with the right foot, ensuring water reaches between the toes.
