Lady Halimah al-Sa'diyyah, may Allah be pleased with her, nursed the Prophet (s.a.w.s.). Her home was filled with blessings from the day he arrived. Livestock multiplied, crops grew abundantly, and milk flowed freely in the udders.»
The angel Jibril, peace be upon him, opened his blessed chest while he was among the children. He removed from it a dark clot and said: 'This is the share of Satan from you.' He then washed it with Zamzam water and filled it with faith and wisdom.»
His mother passed away when he was six years old (s.a.w.s.); then his grandfather Abdul-Muttalib passed away when he was eight. His uncle Abu Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, became his guardian and raised him in the finest manner. The child was truthful and trustworthy in all his affairs.»
