The Prophet (s.a.w.s.) was taken in the night journey from the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque, upon the Buraq — a white creature smaller than a mule and larger than a donkey, whose every stride reached the furthest limit of its sight.»
He led all the Prophets in prayer at the Farthest Mosque. Then he was ascended through the highest heavens, passing by our master Adam in the first heaven, our masters Jesus and John in the second, our master Joseph in the third, and our master Ibrahim in the seventh.»
He reached the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary, then wherever Allah, Glorified and Exalted, willed. His Lord spoke to him directly without intermediary, and Allah prescribed upon him and his nation the five daily prayers as a gift for the believers.»
Glory be to Him who took His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him some of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing. (Al-Isra 17:1)»
