How to Pray in Islam

Follow these steps to perform Salah (prayer) correctly:

  1. Perform ablution (wudu). Guide to wudu →
  2. Make intention (niyyah) Prayers guide →
  3. Stand facing the Qiblah and recite the opening Takbir (Allahu Akbar).
  4. Recite Al-Fatiha and another surah from the Quran.
  5. Perform bowing (ruku) and prostration (sujud) in the correct order.
  6. Conclude with the final sitting (tashahhud) and Tasleem (salutation).

Tesbih after prayer

عَلى رَسُولِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَوَاتٌ
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى سَيِّدِنَا وَنَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلاَةً نُنْجَى بِهَا مِنْ جَمِيعِ الْأَهْوَالِ وَالآفَاتِ۞ وَتَقْضِى لَنَا بِهَا جَمِيعَ الْحَاجَاتِ۞ وَتُطَهِّرُنَا بِهَا مِنْ جَمِيعِ السَّيِّئَاتِ ۞ وَتَرْفَعُنَا بِهَا عِنْدَكَ أَعْلَى الدَّرَجَاتِ۞ وَتُبَلِّغُنَا بِهَا أَقْصَى الْغَايَاتِ مِنْ جَمِيعِ الْخَيْرَاتِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ وَبَعْدَ الْمَمَاتِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ۞

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ۞ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ۞

اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ۞ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ۞ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ۞ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ۞ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ۞ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ۞ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ۞ وَلَا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا۞ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ
'ala rasūlinā muḥammad ṣalawāt allāhumma ṣalli 'alā sayyidinā wa-nabiyyinā muḥammad ṣalātan nunjā bihā min jamī'i al-ahwāli wa-l-āfāt, wa-taqḍī lanā bihā jamī'a al-ḥājāt, wa-tuṭahhirunā bihā min jamī'i as-sayyi'āt, wa-tarfa'unā bihā 'indaka a'lā ad-darajāt, wa-tuballighunā bihā aqṣā al-ghāyāt min jamī'i al-khayrāt fī al-ḥayāt wa-ba'da al-mamāt, bi-raḥmatika yā arḥama ar-rāḥimīn subḥāna-llāhi wa-l-ḥamdu li-llāh wa-lā ilāha illā-llāh wa-llāhu akbar wa-lā ḥawla wa-lā quwwata illā bi-llāhi al-'aliyyi al-'aẓīm bismi-llāhi ar-raḥmāni ar-raḥīm allāhu lā ilāha illā huwa al-ḥayyu al-qayyūm, lā ta'khudhuhu sinatun wa-lā nawm, lahu mā fī as-samāwāti wa-mā fī al-arḍ, man dhā alladhī yashfa'u 'indahu illā bi-idhnih, ya'lamu mā bayna aydīhim wa-mā khalfahum wa-lā yuḥīṭūna bishay'in min 'ilmihi illā bimā shā'a, wasi'a kursiyyuhu as-samāwāti wa-l-arḍ, wa-lā ya'ūduhu ḥifẓuhumā wa-huwa al-'aliyyu al-'aẓīm

وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ ذُو الْجَلَالِ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ۞

عَلَى دِينِ الْإِسْلَامِ دَائِمًا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ۞
33 times - ٱلْـحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ

رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ تَعَالَى جَلَّ شَأْنُهُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ ۞
33 times - اللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ

Takbir and glorification after prayer

كَبِيرًا لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ ۞ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِۦ وَيُمِيتُ ۞ وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لَا يَمُوتُ ۞ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ ۞ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ۞
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَلِيِّ الْأَعْلَى الْوَهَّابِ ۞
